Right well the barracks is ready to have the portal moved there, 1 small hitch though, portals have to be 2x2 and the current portal in the barracks is... substantially bigger. So I will have to shrink that down a bit.
I have successfully, and with great freaking difficulty, managed to build a crude enclosure around the Neather portal, so us connecting remotly should have less problems with being exploded while we wait for the loading to happen.
Had a look at the barracks. Very nice. Will move the portal soon. Still need to decide how im going to position it...
